Sarah Louise Dix STUDIO

The studio is a funky workspace in the heart of Godalming, Surrey offering upholstery workshops, courses & services.

Sarah Louise Dix, designer maker and traditional upholsterer set up the studio in October 2014.

Sarah, who originally studied fashion design and worked for Vivienne Westwood, teaches her now well-established traditional upholstery courses in the space.

She discusses and suggests upholstery and furniture design ideas with students to enable them to produce something unique and personal, taking upholstery to a whole new level.   

Beginners and Sprung Dining Chair one day weekend workshops is a fun atmosphere where you will learn to upholster a beautiful beech wood footstool to take home or your Sprung Dining Chair.  

Sarah Louise Dix upholstery services cater for all upholstery and recovering work at the studio including sofas.

The studio is collaborating with a group of select artists who have a wealth of experienced in their field, including

Interior styling from Claire Potter. Lifestyle journalist and experienced feature writer for Glossy mags including Vogue, Tatler, Marie Claire and Red. Claire is available for consultancy through the studio or her company Blue Door.

Graphic design and photography by Mona Craven. Mona studied and taught Fine Art in South Africa for six years and won awards for her work. Settling in the UK, she now art directs and designs branding for FTSE listed companies, and small business alike. Mona has created all our identity artwork.
